About Just Breathe…
-
We provide counseling and assessment services for adults, teens, children 3 years and older, couples, and families, for an array of different needs.
We often help our clients feel supported through a tough transition, strengthen their emotional health skills, cope with traumatic events, or handle life’s everyday pressures with greater confidence and optimism. We also address relationship tensions, parenting needs, and help children experiencing emotional and behavioral challenges.
Want to meet your counselor before you start? Book our free 20-minute intro conversation. It’s your chance to get to know Just Breathe—and how we can support you.
-
Everyone on our team is a licensed behavioral health professional with multiple years of experience—no volunteers or candidates for licensure are contracted with this agency. Our services are offered by licensed professional counselors (LPCs), licensed marriage and family therapists (LMFTs), licensed clinical social workers (LCSWs), or licensed psychologists (LPs).
All our providers live here in Oklahoma—including those that offer online and over-the-phone (Telehealth) sessions. And our team regularly completes extra trainings, such as on culturally responsive care, so we can give every client the best care possible.
-
Culturally responsive care means our behavioral health professionals provide services in a manner that acknowledges, respects, values, and celebrates your background, culture, and unique experiences.
About payments…
-
Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Aetna, Humana, HealthChoice, Ambetter, UMR, QuikTrip,United Healthcare, Medica, Cigna, Tricare East, Medicare, and many Medicare Advantage plans are some of the insurance companies that our providers are in-network with.
We get it—navigating insurance policies can feel overwhelming. You’re welcome to contact us with your insurance information so we can help you confirm your benefits.
-
It’s common for insurance policies to provide behavioral health benefits, but every insurance company—and policy—is different. When you talk to Just Breathe, we’ll help you figure out what benefits you have and what services may be covered. It’s a good idea to call your insurance company directly before you start counseling.
-
That depends on your insurance coverage. Your insurance policy may require a deductible to be met, a copayment, coinsurance, or it may cover the full cost of counseling. Once we’ve figured out what your insurance covers, we’ll give you a full statement of your expected costs.
If you pay for services without any insurance coverage, you will be informed of the self-pay rates for the services that you request prior to establishing an appointment.
-
We accept insurance and debit/credit card payments.
About our sessions…
-
That’s up to you! You can attend in-person counseling at our local office, located at 6777 E 11th St, in Tulsa, OK. We also offer counseling via Telehealth sessions—call and video chat appointments you can join from your laptop, tablet, or phone. You can even mix-and-match methods to fit your schedule. When you book your session, just let your counselor know how you’ll want to attend your appointment.
Note: Assessment services are required to be conducted in-person.
-
Telehealth is a way to get the health services you need virtually, either over the phone or by video. It’s common for providers in many different healthcare fields to offer telehealth services to make care more convenient for their clients.
-
Your free introduction call is your chance to get to know your potential counselor and find out if they’re a good fit. When you’re ready to move forward, you and your counselor will book your first appointment.
In your first session, you’ll fill out some paperwork and talk about what you’re hoping to get out of your counseling experience. Together, you and your counselor will come up with a therapy plan that fits your goals and needs.
-
That depends on your needs, goals, and how often you attend therapy. Weekly, biweekly, monthly, or as-needed options are offered.
Call or email us to share your scheduling needs so that we can do our best to establish you with a convenient appointment schedule. If our counselors' current availability is not a good fit for you, at your request, you can be placed on a waitlist so that your desired appointment times are reserved for you when they become available.
-
Absolutely! Family members are welcome to join your counseling sessions. In fact, when we work with children, we often encourage parents to be a part of the counseling process.
-
That depends on your insurance policy. Medicaid (also called SoonerCare), for example, does not require a referral for behavioral health services.
In most cases, our clients do not need a referral to begin counseling—but we’ll find out before you start receiving services. We also suggest calling your insurance company to confirm.
But getting help doesn’t have to be.
